Hi I am 35 and just dx'd four years ago with mild spastic CP. This was before what become four reconstructive foot surgeries for spastic clubfoot (R). I completely understand where you are coming from being overwhelmed about how to process it all. As for the hips and hamstrings, I also had issues with both. I did the stretching and all but had unbelievable pain and tightness on walking. Ended up at a hip ortho who did an MRI to see if there were contractures. Thank goodness not. Turned out that it was the gait changes from the surgeries and my body's needing to adapt that really wreaked havoc on my hips. I began doing Pilates and that has helped tremendously. They still can be stiff, but are more manageable as I've gotten more core strength to offload the hip flexors. As for the hamstrings, I still struggle with those. In fact, my left leg has shortened to functionally compensate for the R so I cannot straighten it completely. I know people have had botox in their hamstrings and hips to reduce the tightness. I've done the botox in the calf and foot and it did not work. Yes, the issues that develop as adults are quite overwhelming and it is hard to find docs that really understand the packages we bring.
