Why Vote?

1. The next President will most likely appoint several new Supreme Court.
   

2. These new appointees need to be supporters of ADA, not ones who support other ideas which may be harmful to our needs.
   

3. We need to educate leaders on the following issues which effect us:
   
   1. They need to know that artificial barriers to employment, like inaccessible buildings or inaccessible transportation, may be a major contributor to our higher than average unemployment rate.
      

   2. They need to know that this could drop to near 6%, if all artificial barriers to employment were removed. Besides this, ADA needs to be properly enforced, not watered down.
      

   3. Leaders need to know that when they insure that our unemployment rate drops that two positive things can happen:
      
      1. Checks will have been placed on the now unchecked rise of disability.
         

      2. Checks on the growth of disability would create new employees most probably would generate new taxable revenue which could exceed Three Hundred Billion a year.
      
      

   4. This new found revenue could help make programs like Social Security and Medicare/Medicad solvent for future generations.

ALL THE ABOVE IS POSSIBLE IF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES GET OUT AND VOTE. IF WE DON'T VOTE, THEN IT WILL BE BUSINESS AS USUAL AND WE MAY FIND THAT WE MAY CONTINUE TO LOSE OUR CIVIL RIGHTS.
