New! UCP Helps People with Disabilities Find Work in the Community
We are now offering Supported Employment services for all people with disabilities. Our Supported Employment Program believes all people, regardless of the severity of their disability, should have the opportunity to work. We also believe that people with disabilities deserve to be paid minimum wage or better, working in a job that promotes self-esteem and dignity.
UCP is proud to customize our services to each individual’s needs. We follow a customer-driven support model and provide the following services:
- Interest survey to help determine the customer’s skills, interests and dreams.
- Assistance with resumes, applications and interviewing.
- On-site job visits and work experiences for customers who aren’t quite sure what they want to.
- Finding the right job that matches your interests.
- On-the-job training, coaching, advocacy and support.
- Education about social security and benefits.
