The Childrite Therapy Seat
After more than four years of research and development, the Childrite Seat is finally available.
The story of the Childrite seat began when the owners of Wartburg Enterprises, who import the Bubo seat, met Tammy Carrington and her son Jonathan at a Hyperbaric conference in Florida. Tammy was familiar with the Bubo seat, but felt that Jonathan may soon outgrow it.
After asking Bubo to make a larger version and getting no results, Wartburg Enterprises continued to receive requests from therapists and families for a bigger chair. With the blessing of Bubo, and using Tammy and Jonathan for strength and inspiration, Wartburg went to work. The result of all this hard work is the Childrite Therapy Seat.
The Childrite was designed in conjunction with therapists from various children's hospitals, as well as Jonathan's personal therapists. The wonderful thing about the Childrite seat is that it is not just a "bucket" that holds the child in place. The chair encourages children to strengthen their trunk muscles while stabilizing their hips. It has a high back and wrap around style. It measures 10.5 inches across in width, 10 inches deep from the interior edge of the pommel to the center back is 10 inches, and 11.5 inches in height from the deepest point of the scooped seat to the top of the seat back.
