UCP Brings New Life & New Purpose to Old Building
UCP has been working with the City of Wilmington to turn the Garrett House into affordable and accessible apartments for people with disabilities. Using funds from the Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) and the City of Wilmington, UCP will begin renovating the building in 2008. The house is located at 609 Washington Street.
UCP intends to install seven apartments, off-street parking, an elevator, and an accessible entryway.
