Camp Lenape Gets a Spring Clean-up

On Saturday, May 17, 2008, the UPS employees and their families came to Camp Lenape, a camp for children with and without disabilities, and volunteered their time and money to help spruce up and fix things for the camp. There was a lot to be done, and they went right to work cutting grass, fixing the ceiling in the enclosed pavilion, landscaping and planting flowers, painting the Camp Lenape sign, power washing the handicapped ramps and buildings, and painting picnic tables.

I want to send my sincere thanks to all of the UPS employees and families that helped make our camp safer and cleaner! It is friends like them who take the time out on a Saturday to help a charitable organization like ours, who make the world a better place to live in! United Cerebral Palsy is a non-profit organization and we rely on donations to help us keep Camp Lenape a fun and safe place for all of our campers, volunteers and staff.

A special thanks to UPS employees Pete Rager and Brian Fitzhugh for making this happen for us!! I also want to thank John James, Larry and Jenn Miller, Dave Haxton, Dave Hampton, Dianne Rager, Mandy and Paul Oppel, Dan and Robin Sterner, Ed Farrall, Mike and Trey Obermire, Shawn O’Toole, Bill Dotson, Wes Wood, Jim Tucker, Frank Biddle and Robin Semans. We could not have done it without you!!!!!
