"Beauty and the Beast" Play
On Thursday, October 8, 2009 individuals with disabilities and their families were able to see a special performance of “Beauty and the Beast.
Over 75 people attended the full dress rehearsal of the Springfield Theatre Centre’s performance of “Beauty and the Beauty” at the Hoogland Center for the Arts. Children and individuals with disabilities and their families were entertained throughout the play with wonderful songs, costumes and special effects. After the show, children and families had the opportunity to meet all cast members in full costume and take pictures.
This was a very special and memorable night for the families UCP serves. It would not have been possible without help from the following people: a special thank you goes out to Jane Brownback, Director; Ann Opferman, Assistant Director; the entire Cast, Crew, and Orchestra; as well as Cheryl Sakris for providing each child with a coloring book to take home.
