Services & Supports Provided by UCP

Individuals with CP need the right supports that promote personal growth, independence and productivity. UCP of Central Maryland offers a variety of individualized quality services and supports to children and adults with CP and their families.

Stephen Snyder with UCP of Central Maryland at National Press ConferenceChildren’s Services provide education, therapies, and supports to children ages two to 21 with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. UCP operates child development center, preschool and day care programs.



No Boundaries Assistive Technology Center offers augmentative communication assessments and training for children and adults with communication difficulties. The Center also serves as an equipment lending library.

In-Home Supports assist individuals who need or want supports in order to remain in their own homes. Supports may include personal care, housekeeping, case management, and other services requested by the individual and family.

Respite Care is a program that provides funding for short-term care for children and adults with disabilities, allowing the family time for rest and renewal.

Employment Services assist individuals to choose, obtain, and maintain paid employment in community colleges.

Adult Day Programs are operated in various locations throughout Maryland and offer individuals an opportunity to engage in meaningful individual and group activities under the supervision of registered nurses.
