Hoodstock VI Celebrates Great Music in Support of UCP

Featuring music from the late 60’s and early 70’s this year’s event was another record setter in attendance and dollars donated. More than 180 people attended the event and nearly $18,200 was raised to benefit the children and adults with disabilities served by UCP!

Event headliners included the acoustic band, 4and0, which consists of two current board members, Russ Causey and Nick Richardson and past board member John Lee. Michael Teitelbaum and Owen “O” Johnson round out the group. Roger Frisky, R-n-R, the Soundchecks, Blue Sky and Samantha Bloom were among the night’s other far out performers.

What began as a few friends having a party in the garage has grown into one of UCP favorite fund and friend-raiser events. It takes a lot of time and energy to produce Hoodstock and UCP would especially like to thank the event’s producers including Jen and Russ Causey and Gracie and Larry Musher who worked so very hard to make Hoodstock happen. Thanks also goes out to the many event volunteers and sponsors without whose support the event would not have been possible. Event sponsors include the following:

    Flower Power Gold
    Jen and Russ Causey

    Groovy Silver

    CMD Outsourcing Solutions, Inc.
    Diane and Dave Coughlin

As you can see from the list of thanks it takes a "hood" to produce Hoodstock! Thank you to everyone one last time and mark your calendars now for Hoodstock VII in September 2010! Here are some photos from the event:
