2rd Annual Life Without Limits Walk and Roll a success!
United Cerebral Palsy of MetroBoston continues to celebrate the spirit of Life without Limits at its Second Annual 5K ‘Life without Limits Walk and Roll’, this past June 7th.
Our pet-friendly event was held on Castle Island in South Boston, Massachusetts with over 225 attendees, including consumers, their families and walkers and rollers from Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Individuals not only had the opportunity to walk along the beautiful shores of the island, but tour the historic Fort Independence located on the island and picnic and munch on snacks by our wonderful in-kind donors, while listening to the music of several of Boston’s finest musical groups.
Through the generosity of its donors, UCP of MetroBoston has raised $40,000.00, well beyond last year’s figure of $18,000.00. The best part? Not only a good time had by all, but the wonderful opportunity to illustrate awareness while promoting our mission.
