Neil Sauter Breaks World Record of Fastest Marathon on Stilts!!!
Neil Sauter looms over the crowds wherever he goes on his three foot high stilts. He walked 830 miles from one end of Michigan to the other in just eight weeks this summer while raising $75,000 for UCP Michigan's Assistive Technology Initiatives.
On Sunday, October 19, 2008 he accomplished yet another lofty goal. He finished a marathon - yes, that's 26.2 miles! - in a world record time of 6 hours, 32 minutes, on stilts!
UCP Michigan extends a huge thank you to Neil Sauter and his family for helping bring awareness to UCP Michigan and to our goal of "Life without Limits" for people with disabilities.
