Chaka Harris
Chaka L. Harris has joined United Cerebral Palsy of Metropolitan Detroit as Administrative Assistant to the President.
Prior to working for UCP/Detroit, Chaka held several roles providing administrative and organizational support to top executives in the health, finance, legal and insurance industries.
Chaka' graduated from Albion High School in 1999 and attended Western Michigan University (WMU) through a program for African American Youths via Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She has also studied American Sign Language. Chaka received her Bachelor's of Arts and Science degree in organizational communication with a minor in human resource management in 2003. Chaka plans to obtain a Master’s Degree in business administration and one day practice corporate law.
“I am hungry for success and feel like I have been led to the right team! I am excited to now be part of the UCP team, hoping to utilize my skills and move forward in the agency, making a difference in it and in the community,” she said.
