Board Member Spotlight: Donna L. Madigan
Donna has been in the accounting field her entire adult life. She has attended Oakland County Community and Walsh Colleges. Currently, she is the controller for Universal Credit Services, a profit recovery agency in Livingston County. She is very active in her husband’s multi media art studio, Fat Brothers Productions, in Highland, Michigan. In 2006 Donna joined the Board of Directors of UCP/Detroit and is currently the First Vice Chairman.
She was born and raised in the metropolitan Detroit area. Her only sibling, a sister, lives in Nashville and her parents spend the winters in Texas and summers in northern Macomb County. She married her husband, Mark, in 1980 and they currently live in Oakland County. There, they open their home to Chihuahuas that have been given a second chance through a local animal rescue.
In her teens, Donna began her charitable work by participating in several 20 mile walk-a-thons for Muscular Dystrophy. Recently, she completed a three-day, 60-mile walk benefiting breast cancer research. This determination has also benefited other charities that include Cystic Fibrosis, Melanoma Research and the various charities partnered with The Detroit Free Press Marathon.
She enjoys gardening, cooking and always brings with her an open ear and never a judgmental mind.
