In Kansas, the most comprehensive listing of available services is the “211” website, hosted by United Way of the Plains. This site allows the user to type in “Key” words such as “cerebral palsy”, “autism”, “child abuse”, “homeless” etc. And sort through available service providers by city, county or zip code.

United Way of the Plains is a local, volunteer-driven organization. United Way brings the community together to address critical issues such as care for the elderly, youth at risk, disaster relief, and more. A comprehensive (statewide) listing of service providers, kinds of assistance provided and categories of clients served can be found by clicking on the 211 heading. This is an excellent resource for anyone providing information and referral services.
