OBRA Waiver
The OBRA Waiver provides active treatment to persons with an Other Related Condition so they can remain in community settings and avoid nursing facility placement or relocate from a nursing facility to community settings. Persons with other related conditions are persons with severe physical disabilities manifesting at least three functional limitations, prior to age 22, in the following areas: mobility, communication, self-care, learning, self-direction and capacity for independent living. The disability must be expected to continue indefinitely.
Eligibility:
- 18 years or older
- Person with Other Related Conditions
- Medical Assistance eligible
- Needs two or more services
- Eligible for ICF/ORC Level of Care - which includes active aggressive treatment
Services Provided
- Resource Management
- Attendant Care Services
- Community Integration Training
- Funding for home modifications and equipment
- Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapies
- Visiting Nurse
- Non-medical transportation reimbursement
Counties Served: Cumberland, Dauphin, Juniata, Mifflin, and Perry
