Parent Support and Other Support Groups
Family focused support groups are coordinated on an ongoing basis for parents and siblings of children with special needs. A monthly newsletter, sibling and teen support groups are offered.
All members of the family are affected when a child is diagnosed with a disability. Family-focused support services see the individual who has a disability as part of the family and the community rather than an isolated individual.
Parent Support Group Weekly support groups for parents of children ages birth to 10 years old with cerebral palsy are offered in 6-week sessions throughout the year on Wednesday evenings.
Group is held in a parent's home in the Tierrasanta area of San Diego. Childcare is available by reservation only and is held in the same location as the group. Please call 858-571-7803 to RSVP and/or to obtain more information on the group. Location and directions will be provided at time of RSVP. Support GroupsSibling Support Groups are offered periodically for siblings of children with disabilities, and a group for teenagers and young adults with Cerebral Palsy is offered on an on-going basis.
Family Support Services
Family Support Services provides support to families who have children with disabilities by connecting them to information and community resources.
