PACTT

PACTT (Parents and Children Together at Tech) is a childcare program that began in Sussex Technical High School as a means to keep high school parents in school in order to complete their education. UCP began its involvement with the day care program in 1998. A developmentally appropriate program is in place to help children grow physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Diagnosis and treatment of children with special needs occurs at the center or children are transported for services as required.

The PACTT program addresses a variety of needs in Sussex County:

  • High School students with children are able to get reliable and affordable childcare.
  • Parents of children with disabilities receive access to quality childcare in a setting with other children who are not disabled.
  • Sussex Tech students enrolled in the Children's Education and Services program can be part of a convenient state-licensed childcare facility to practice theory and skills they learn.
  • Sussex Tech Adult Education students receive safe, reliable evening care for their children.
  • Community members, including Sussex Tech staff, receive quality, affordable, convenient childcare.

The PACTT Center is open from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. Evening hours are available for teachers and parents attending adult education classes at Sussex Tech.

For more information about PACTT , please contact UCP at (302) 856-3490 or send an e-mail.
