UCP of West Central Wisconsin is proud to tailor its services to the needs of local families.

  • Advocacy
Legal and human rights of persons with cerebral palsy and their families receive special attention at UCP. Both individuals and groups of consumers participate in advocacy training, and agency staff advocate on a case-by-case basis.
  • Counseling
Professional counseling is offered in individual, family, and group settings for families who are adjusting to a child with cerebral palsy, adults who are living in the community, and adolescents who are making transitions.
  • Public Awareness
Awareness programs geared toward prevention and understanding of cerebral palsy are available to individuals and organizations to increase sensitivity of people to the feelings and problems of people with cerebral palsy. Video- tapes and books as well as speakers are available.
  • Resource Loan
A lending center is provided for families who want to borrow equipment. The resource lending inventory includes wheelchairs, walkers, and other therapeutic equipment to prevent purchase of items temporarily needed.
The parent coordinated TECH TOTS collection offers toys, switches, computers, and software to young children who are developing skills in enabling technology. Training opportunities are also available. All items are available to families, schools, and other service agencies who are working with individuals having developmental delays.
