History

Geraldine and Vance Schwartz founded WORC in 1969 after recognizing the need for an organization to develop work skills and provide job training for people with disabilities. Since then, we have placed thousands of individuals with disabilities in competitive employment in Volusia and Flagler counties.

In January of 2005, WORC became an affiliate of United Cerebral Palsy, one of the largest national health charities in America. Now known as United Cerebral Palsy of East Central Florida, we continue to expand our legacy of improving the quality of life for all individuals with disabilities.
