• Free LAMP Training

  A Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) workshop, presented by T.A.S.C., will be held Wednesday, July 8, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Thursday, July 9, 8:30 a.m.-noon, at ADRS/CRS in the conference room. The workshop is free for all participants.

  This workshop is designed for individuals who want to learn new AAC skills and strategies to enhance the lives of people with ASD. The seminar will examine the current research and the history of augmenting speech for people with ASD. Participants will study communication assessment and augmentative implementation procedures with an emphasis on the use of multi-modal communication systems.

  Training leader is John Halloran, M.S., CCC-SLP, Senior Clinical Associate. ASHA CEU credits are available.

  Free Special Needs Financial Planning Seminar

  Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Financial Advisor Jerry Shrout will host a Financial Planning for Special Needs Families seminar Thursday, July 9, at 6 p.m. and again Friday, July 10, at 10 a.m. at the Huntsville Branch of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.

  2009 "Camp I CAN" Underwater Adventure

  The 2009 "Camp I CAN" Underwater Adventure will be July 13-17 for children 5-10 years of age.

  Activities will include community arts, music, water and sand play, tie-dye, arts and crafts, sensory activities, computer fun and snack time.

  Camp is located at the UCP Therapy Center and is offered daily, 9 a.m.-noon, for one week. Cost is $250. Medicaid primary insurance payments accepted for tuition. Register your children early! Limited spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.
