Mission & Vision
MISSION:
Our long-standing mission is to advance the independence, productivity, and full citizenship of people with developmental disabilities.
While UCP specializes in serving persons with cerebral palsy, more than 65% of the individuals we serve have a disability other than cerebral palsy, such as mental retardation, autism, and spina bifida. Essentially an umbrella agency for people with developmental disabilities, we are continuously seeking innovative approaches to fulfilling our mission.
VISION:
Our Vision at UCP of Northwest Florida is simple—in striving toward our mission there are five primary principles that will always be at work:
Integrity — To facilitate an atmosphere of honesty, fairness, and trust with each other – clients, community, and staff. If we have a problem we will look first to the system or the process rather than the people.Respect — Listen and share information with co-workers and individuals with a commitment to work together.
Innovation — We will think outside the box (in a new way) and make the system creative, with a productive and fun environment for everyone’s success.
Stewardship — Dedicated to be responsible to the UCP mission, resources, and stakeholders through a collaboration of efforts.
Compassion — For interacting with clients and staff with empathy, caring, and kindness.
