Annual Meeting
On November 13, 2008 United Cerebral Palsy recognized outstanding corporations, board members, volunteers and employees at the Annual Meeting with an awards ceremony and dinner.

Telethon 2008
UCP’s renewed partnership with NewsChannel 20 proved to be successful in 2009 by setting a new setting a new record of over $350,000 to help children and adults with
disabilities.
Paul Wappel and Jill Egizii hosted the six-hour Telethon with special guest hosts: WICS news anchor Jerry Lambert and special guest Julie Staley; WFMB morning talk show hosts John and Michelle; and Sports Radio 1450 commentator Sam Madonia. A very special thank you to the 300 volunteers in Springfield, Champaign, Bloomington, Decatur, Morrisonville, Mt. Zion, Pleasant Plaines, Carlinville, Pawnee, Lincoln, Taylorville, Beardstown, Jacksonville and Virden.
UCP Radio-A-Thon Raises over $4,000!
UCP Land of Lincoln partnered with Neuhoff Media Springfield for the 1st Annual Radio-A-Thon benefiting adults and children with disabilities. Sam Madonia and Jeff Hoffman hosted the event on Sports Radio 1450/AM Springfield and Jill Egizii and Brenda Yarnell served as honorary hosts. The Radio-A-Thon featured sports auction items, and individual
stories about the difference UCP had made in the lives of children and adults with disabilities. A special thank you to those who called in and the families that called in and shared their heart warming stories.

2008 Blue Chip Gala
On April 19th, United Cerebral Palsy Land of Lincoln held the 28th Annual Blue Chip Gala and raised over $65,000 for children’s programs.
