About United Cerebral Palsy of Illinois Prairieland

The mission of United Cerebral Palsy of Illinois Prairieland is to provide programs and services that improve the independence, productivity, and quality of life of people with disabilities and their families. People with developmental disabilities have unique needs. Physically and/or mentally challenged, these individuals face many obstacles in areas or daily living:

  • self-care
  • self-direction
  • lnaguage
  • independent living
  • education
  • mobility
  • economic self-sufficiency

Severely and profoundly disabled individuals require a broad combination of health care, education, and therapeutic services throughout their lives.

UCP provides its services as a continuum of programs for individuals and their families. These programs are available in a six county area including: Will, Kankakee, Grundy, Ford, Kendal and Iroquois.
