"Delrey is a ray of light and hope.
The outcome of a Delrey experience is a new beginning."

The Children Services Division of United Cerebral Palsy of Central Maryland was created in 1964 with the establishment of the UCP Delrey School. Since then, the school has become one of the cornerstones of UCP’s wide array of programs and services for children and adults with disabilities.

The UCP Delrey School serves children ages 2 to 21 throughout central Maryland and is conveniently located in a new, spacious, fully accessible, state-of-the-art facility just minutes from the Baltimore Beltway and I-95 in Lansdowne, Md. The school provides comprehensive services to children with multiple disabilities, combining a rigorous academic curriculum with the latest therapeutic techniques and communication strategies to help students better engage in learning.

In addition to the special education program, UCP Delrey School offers many other essential services including physical, occupational , and speech-language therapy; assistive technology and adaptive equipment; nursing; social work; wheelchair evaluation; mobile dental services orthotics; extra-curricular activities; community enrichment program; and community daycare.

UCP Delrey School is a nonpublic school certified by the Maryland State Department of Education and provides a challenging academic program based on the Maryland Voluntary State Curriculum. In compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA), both academic and functional performance outcomes are included in each student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP).
