Get Involved / Volunteer
Volunteers at UCP of Southern Maryland serve as a valuable resource for consumers and staff. Agency services are enhanced through the efforts of our unpaid staff (volunteers), whose skills and interests are valued and appreciated by consumers and staff alike. It is the policy of UCP of Southern Maryland to provide volunteers with support and supervision identical to staff in similar roles, with the exception of monetary compensation.
Volunteers are needed in the following areas:

- Special Event Assistance
- Office Assistant
- Board of Directors
- Committee Members
- Marketing
- Classroom Presenter
- Companionship
- Assisting with Recreational Activities
- Photographers
- Movers
- Handyman
- Gardening/Yard Work
- Assisting Clients with Crafts
