Equipment donations are accepted by MATLN from people who no longer are in need of their A A C device. Donated devices must be in good working condition. If you have a device that you are not using, write a letter addressed to MATLN stating the following information about your device:

• Type
• Model and Vendor (device manufacturer)
• The date the device was purchased
• The general condition that it's in.

Please keep in mind that we accept donations based upon our need for a particular device and/or equipment. We will evaluate the appropriateness of the equipment prior to acceptance into our loan program, and respond to your request within 7-10 business days.

Volunteering your time at MATLN's community events can be a rewarding experience for you as well as the individuals with special communication needs who attend. We believe that our volunteers are an essential ingredient to each annual event like Zippity Zoo Day at Como Zoo in Saint Paul, and the Annual A A C Vendor Fair. A A C Mentors are individuals who coach other A A C users as they learn, and navigate their way to increased communication. Although MATLN believes that the best mentor would be an A A C user, we also welcome family members and other close ties to A A C users for this important relationship.
